Oracle Digital Assistants

The ODA home screen allows a User to quickly see what a digital assistant is up to, how it's working for them and a list of skills for the account.
Skill editing screen - the bread and butter of a digital assistants capabilities are skills. If only skills could clean my house too.
The diagram editor is a visual way of managing a conversation and the responses from a skill or an assistant. You can even manage how polite a response should be or not be...

ODA has a nifty insights feature that tells you how your skills and assistants are operating. Insights affords users a way to improve accuracy, responses and even analyze user behavior patterns like conversation abandonment or how many curse words were used. Seriously.
Administration of assistants can span across many channels or platforms. The high-level admin work had some design distinctions to differentiate other areas of the product (like the visual pattern in the upper right).

Overview

As the Principal UX Designer for Oracle Digital Assistants (ODA), I led the evolution of the chatbot platform, transitioning from Oracle's Alta design language to the Redwood Design System, and spearheaded feature designs for AI and LLM integrations into the product. My focus was on enhancing the user experience for both developers and non-developers, particularly through the design of non-developer-centric features like the diagram-based conversation flow editor. Collaborating with a nimble team, I played a crucial role in expanding ODA's capabilities into the company-wide "Ask Oracle" digital assistant.

The adoption of the Redwood Design System and the introduction of user-friendly features resulted in an enhanced ODA user experience. The Diagram editor empowered users to visually design chatbot interactions, fostering collaboration between developers and non-developers. ODA's integration into "Ask Oracle" showcased its adaptability and scalability, reaffirming its position as a versatile and user-friendly digital assistant within Oracle's ecosystem.
